The University of Minnesota is seeking help from Miniature Schnauzer owners to study the genetics of calcium oxalate bladder stones. If your dog has been diagnosed with this type of bladder stone, we would greatly appreciate a blood sample and pedigree from your dog. Please ask that your veterinarian draw 2-3 mL of blood in a "purple-top" (EDTA) tube and pack in a small box or insulated container with a cool pack (frozen is not necessary). The sample should be refrigerated if it will not be mailed the same day. Samples should be shipped (2-5 day delivery is fine) to: University of Minnesota c/o Dr. Eva Furrow & Katie Minor 1988 Fitch Ave 295 AS/VM St. Paul, MN 55108 ------------------------------- Eva Furrow, VMD Internal Medicine Resident University of Minnesota E-Mail furro004@umn.edu |
