Grooming classes are generally offered once a year for those wanting to learn to groom their own dogs. Contact Karen Brittan for further information.
The Heartland Standard Schnauzer Club had a Schnauzer Walk around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, and some Miniature Schnauzers joined in, too. Those of us who attended had a GREAT time!

We have a Demonstration Team that gives talks and demos (obedience, grooming,
etc.) about the Miniature Schnauzer.

What fun we had at the Minneapolis Pet Expo in 2010!
Great thanks to the club members and their dogs who came out to help man the booth, do a bit of grooming, and talk to the crowds over the two-day event... THANK YOU, Donna Bonnicksen, Karen Brittan, Corri Gilbertson, Sunny Lambert, Kara Maytag, Mary Novakowski, Eunice Revsbech, Judy Robinson, and C.J. and R.J. Ronyak. The crowds loved seeing Sunny and Kara's Standard Schnauzers alongside the Miniatures!
We were busy with "meeting and greeting" at the Pet Fest at the Renaissance Festival on Sept. 12 and 13, 2009, and with "Meet the Breeds" at the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day on Sept. 19 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Karen and Ace even participated in several agility demonstrations throughout the two days at the Pet Fest. Our thanks to Karen and Katie Brittan with Ace and Cruise, Corri Gilbertson and Talis, and Judy Robinson and Jimmy for helping with this.

At one of our club meetings, Dr. Ann Burt taught us how to resuscitate a dog using CPR.

Some members learning how to find the femoral artery and how to listen for a heartbeat on Dr. Burt's Giant Schnauzer, Ellie.

Meet Jerry, the Resuscidog from BART (Basic Animal Rescue Training).
